A little introduction
Hi, I’m Bree. I’m a personal trainer, a CSEP certified coach with ten years of experience, and someone who has always believed that fitness is most interesting when it’s in conversation with the rest of your life.
That’s what this place is.
This newsletter sits at the intersection of two things I love: writing and helping people stay strong for the long haul. You’ll find research-backed ideas on training and longevity here, personal essays that I hope land somewhere true for you, and a general refusal to treat the gym as separate from the life you’re trying to build outside of it. Come for the writing. Stay for the tangible stuff you can actually use.
Who I write for
Mostly, I write for people who are thinking seriously about the long game. Adults who want to stay strong, capable, and independent well into their later decades. People who understand that the goal was never a number on a scale or a finish line somewhere in the future. The goal is a life that stays full and functional for as long as possible.
I work primarily with seniors, and I’ve built my coaching practice around that population because I think they are chronically underserved by an industry that tends to chase youth and performance above everything else. But here’s the thing I say to anyone who will listen: what is good for you at 65 is good for you at 35. The principles don’t change. The scale does. If you’re younger and you found your way here, you’re just getting a head start, which is never a bad thing.
What you can expect
I publish every two weeks to once a month, so this will not flood your inbox. When I do show up, I try to make it worth your time. That might look like a deep dive into why strength training is one of the most powerful longevity tools we have. It might look like an essay about what it means to age with intention in a culture that treats aging like a problem to be solved. Sometimes it’s both in the same piece.
The throughline is always the same: living well goes beyond the specific exercises we do. It lives in our attitude toward movement, toward our bodies, toward time itself. That’s the lens I write from.
If you’re interested in coaching
I work with people online and in person. My programs are built around your life, your goals, and where you’re starting from. If that sounds like something you want to explore, the best first step is filling out my intake form below. No pressure, no hard sell. Just a conversation.
Glad you’re here.
